Previously, they held a role in this nation's politics as a Protector. They also served the now-defunct Queendom of [[Yergola]] as a foreign minister and royal advisor. They are the first non-Angel to serve in the government of the Angelic Nation, marking a radical change in its history.

Having lived as an errant wanderer for most of their life after the destruction of their homeland, Lapis Lazuli settled in Yergola and became the advisor of the then-powerful regional power. Following several disagreements with the Queen of Yergola, Selene, they migrated to the Angelic Nation and became its advisor. After many Dawns, they became the spouse of Vivia Greenthorne, thereby initiating the Angelic diarchy. Under this period, they strengthened the Angelic Nation's relationship with the [[Holy Pyrannic Empire]], a regional power, founding the Alliance of the Southern Crowns and forming a common Angelic-Pyrannic front in international politics.

Following the encroachment of the Dark Creed upon the Angelic Nation, Lapis Lazuli went into exile, forming the short-lasted Angelic Nation Government-in-Exile before their capture.
After the Angelic Nation achieved its independence from the Dark Creed, they resumed work as an advisor and diplomat, no longer serving as its protector. During this time, they rewrote the Angelic Nation's charter to reflect the country's change to a single head of state & government. They have also passed an amendment to prohibit worship of the Dark Gods within the Angelic Nation.
