The Kingdom of Loire, shortened to Loire most of the time, is a country in the region of [[Pyrannica]] in the south of the continent of [[Ashenheim]]. Loire is formed by four duchies, it borders 6 countries: [[Ashenstrand]] to the west; [[Mistensia]] to the northwest; [[Sanéa]] to the northeast; and [[Hollenberg]], [[Valverde]], and [[Alfama]] to the south. Loire borders the [[Sea of Seret]] to the south. Loire is a culturally diverse country, sharing cultural traits with the [[Aranna|Arannese]], [[Cauldra|Cauldran]] and [[Istraks|Istraki]] culture. People from Loire are referred to as Loirians.

== History ==

=== Loire Abbey ===
After the King of Cauldra, [[Swonki]] left his Kingdom after a devastating war he founded an Abbey atop [[Mont Loire]]. Together with [[SquashyFawn|Squashy]], Swonki made the beginnings of what later would grow into the Grand Papal States. Squashy made a new version of their farm in Cauldra and named it SquashyFarm.

On the 23rd of November 2023 Swonki held a Diet in the Abbey of Loire, inviting religious leaders from all over the world to find out which religion the Abbey should host. However, no one showed. Swonki hereby decided to find a religion himself to pursue ontop the mountain. After a while Swonki finished his research and became the first Pope of [[Pyrannism]].

[[SouthRail]] was founded shortly after the religious diet and launched the first international train line between the [[city of Loire]] and [[Palermo]].

On the 21st of December 2023 the country rebranded into the [[Grand Papal States]] with Pope Swonki posting the first laws.

The Holy Pyrannic Empire is a nation located in the southern parts of Cinder, neighbouring [[Kurutuk]], [[Durnath]] and [[Hollenberg]] to the South-East, [[Sanéa]] and [[Adraria]] to the North-East, [[Anneimd]] and [[Khupatan]] to the North-West and a [[Nauticca|Nauticcan]] colony to the South-West. The Holy Pyrannic Empire consists of a collection of states federated under [[Emperor of the Holy Pyrannic Empire|the Holy Pyrannic Emperor]] and is governed with a mix of theocracy, imperialistic and a federal system.

[[File:HPEMap3Text.png|thumb|A map of the HPE as of 2024-07-30]]Loire is one of the first two states of the Holy Pyrannic Empire. The capital city, under the same name, of the Empire is located in this state. Loire is the most populous state in the Empire, having 8 citizens.

Loire was first settled by Swonki and Squashy, they both settled on and near the Loire mountain respectively. Swonki making an abbey on the mountain and Squashy making a large wheatfield on the base of it. Shortly after Rain joined the then called, Grand Papal States, and settled in a spruce forest west of the mountain, the area currently known as West-Loire or New Loire. The three sculpted the lands to their liking and developed the city to what it is today.

Ashenstrand is the other original state of the Holy Pyrannic Empire together with Loire.

=== Papal Territories ===
The Papal Territories are a special state. They are under direct jurisdiction of the Pope of Pyrannism. This state is made up of small parts of states which mostly contain religious buildings. Like the abbey, some churches but most notably the Southern Papal Territories. This area has been developed by Chartographus, he made a Cathedral with plans to grow it to a full abbey.

=== Ganjaria ===
Ganjaria was the smallest state of the Holy Pyrannic Empire. It came to be as the location on which Jesse built his house was geographically too far from the urban area of Loire at the time that it was decided to make it it's own seperate state with Jesse as it's sole citizen. A few months passed, Jesse left Cinder and Ganjaria is left without any citizens. It was later absolved into the state of Loire.

=== Laia ===
Laia is made up of the first purchased lands of the Holy Pyrannic Empire. Formerly known as the [[Angelic Nation]], Laia was purchased as the former owners were either inactive or lived somewhere else. The first Pyrannic settlement was created by Acolytius, he constructed a port near the delta of the Anneimd river. Hence why the state was called Port Laia at first. Laia was named after a Pyrannist Acolyte.

=== Yimirgola ===
Yimirgola was a special acquirement of land for the Holy Pyrannic Empire. The lands were left unclaimed and Swonki saw reason in removing the [[Yergola Walls]] and claiming the lands to create a new state for the Empire. Yimirgola has undergone major destruction and terraforming projects, reviving the mountain and destroying the walls costed several days to complete.

=== Lavelle ===
Lavelle is the most recently added state and purchased land. The lands were previously known as [[Silly Company]], under Yergolan control, semi-independent and later under [[Nauticca|Nauticcan]] control. Nauticca saw no reason in keeping the land for themselves and sold the land to the Holy Pyrannic Empire. Prime Minister Jay S. Zabel has had some minor plans for the region, but for now it remains undeveloped.

The Holy Pyrannic Empire was formed on the 22nd of March in 2024 by unification of two current states, [[Loire]] (was [[Grand Papal States]]) and [[Ashenstrand]] (was [[Free City of Ashenstrand]]).

=== Wolfberg ===
Rain was born in the former nation of [[Wolfberg]] (currently known as [[Louveberg]] in the [[International Commune]]).

Wolfberg was a tribal nation and as a descendant of the leading tribe within Wolfberg he rose to power at the age of 20.

=== Rosendaele ===
After deciding a beneficial pact for both sides, President [[Allan Abernathy]] and Jarl Rain of Wolfberg signed the Rosenberg pact. This pact eventually resulted in both countries merging into [[Rosendaele]]. Rain was appointed Prime Minister with Allan Abernathy being President.

=== Wolfberg ===
Following multiple riots and attacks President Allan Abernathy fled Rosendaele on December 15th, 2023. For a mere day Wolfberg was independent with more chaos brewing in the region. The following day Rain also fled the country after accepting an invitation from [[Pope Swonki I]] to settle in the [[Grand Papal States]].

=== Grand Papal States ===
On December 17th, 2023 Rain settled close by [[Mont Loire]], a mountain with a [[Pyrannism|Pyrannist]] Abbey located on top of it. Together with a couple of Wolfbergian refugees he created a small settlement that would later fuse with the urban area that was created by Pope Swonki I into the [[The City of Loire|city of Loire]].

Some time later Pope Swonki I appointed Rain High Mayor of Loire during the grand opening of the [[Abbey of Duke Frankos the Great]].

=== Holy Pyrannic Empire ===
Rain was a part of the group of important citizens of both the Grand Papal States and the [[Free City of Ashenstrand]]. The group, consisting of three Papal citizens and two Ashenstrand citizens decided on a mutual fuse between the two nations into the Holy Pyrannic Empire. On March 21st, 2024 the merge was formally announced.

Being the High Mayor of [[Loire]] Rain decided, together with [[SquashyFawn]] that he would be the State Representative in the [[Imperial Diet]]. The Imperial Diet voted on the [[Emperor of the Holy Pyrannic Empire|Emperor]]'s actions and proposals.

On June 6th, 2024 the news hit the world that Emperor [[Boomy]] had gone missing. Rain took it upon himself to put himself forward as candidate for Emperor, after an emergency meeting of the Imperial Diet it was decided that Rain would indeed become the second emperor of the Holy Pyrannic Empire.

As many important citizens of the empire had left, Rain came up with an emergency plan to get the empire back into it's former shape. Unification plans were proposed but not finalized. With the activity of the new emperor, more and more new citizens kept joining the empire which resulted in a resurgence on the world stage. With the Holy Pyrannic Empire now being a prominent member of international affairs, being the third most populous country and being the second largest nation in land area.

On August 5th 2024, Rain decided, with approval of the Diet, that if would be in the best interest of the Empire to appoint a [[Prime Minister of the Holy Pyrannic Empire|Prime Minister]].

The Holy Pyrannic Empire was formed on the 22nd of March in 2024 by unification of the two current states, [[Loire]] (was [[Grand Papal States]]) and [[Ashenstrand]] (was [[Free City of Ashenstrand]]).

Rain was born in the former nation of [[Wolfberg]] (currently known as [[Louveberg]] in the [[International Commune]]).

Wolfberg was a tribal nation and as a descendant of the leading tribe within Wolfberg he rose to power at the age of 20.

=== Rosendaele ===
After deciding a beneficial pact for both sides, President [[Allan Abernathy]] and Jarl Rain of Wolfberg signed the Rosenberg pact. This pact eventually resulted in both countries merging into [[Rosendaele]]. Rain was appointed Prime Minister with Allan Abernathy being President.

=== Wolfberg ===
Following multiple riots and attacks President Allan Abernathy fled Rosendaele on December 15th, 2023. For a mere day Wolfberg was independent with more chaos brewing in the region. The following day Rain also fled the country after accepting an invitation from [[Pope Swonki I]] to settle in the [[Grand Papal States]].

On December 17th, 2023 Rain settled close by [[Mont Loire]], a mountain with a [[Pyrannism|Pyrannist]] Abbey located on top of it. Together with a couple of Wolfbergian refugees he created a small settlement that would later fuse with the urban area that was created by Pope Swonki I into the [[The City of Loire|city of Loire]].

Some time later Pope Swonki I appointed Rain High Mayor of Loire during the grand opening of the [[Abbey of Duke Frankos the Great]].

=== Holy Pyrannic Empire ===
Rain was a part of the group of important citizens of both the Grand Papal States and the [[Free City of Ashenstrand]]. The group, consisting of three Papal citizens and two Ashenstrand citizens decided on a mutual fuse between the two nations into the Holy Pyrannic Empire. On March 21st, 2024 the merge was formally announced.

Being the High Mayor of [[Loire]] Rain decided, together with [[SquashyFawn]] that he would be the State Representative in the [[Imperial Diet]]. The Imperial Diet voted on the [[Emperor of the Holy Pyrannic Empire|Emperor]]'s actions and proposals.

On June 6th, 2024 the news hit the world that Emperor [[Boomy]] had gone missing. Rain took it upon himself to put himself forward as candidate for Emperor, after an emergency meeting of the Imperial Diet it was decided that Rain would indeed become the second emperor of the Holy Pyrannic Empire.

As many important citizens of the empire had left, Rain came up with an emergency plan to get the empire back into it's former shape. Unification plans were proposed but not finalized. With the activity of the new emperor, more and more new citizens kept joining the empire which resulted in a resurgence on the world stage. With the Holy Pyrannic Empire now being a prominent member of international affairs, being the third most populous country and being the second largest nation in land area.

On August 5th 2024, Rain decided, with approval of the Diet, that if would be in the best interest of the Empire to appoint a [[Prime Minister of the Holy Pyrannic Empire|Prime Minister]]. In the following days two candidates came forward with [[Jay S. Zabel]], getting 71,5 procent of the votes, being appointed Prime Minister.

On August 19th, 2024, a debate was held with both candidates and an audience of Pyrannic citizens. The debate was officiated by Rain. Voting begun right after the debate ended.

On August 24th, 2024, voting was closed and with 71,5 percent of the votes Jay S. Zabel was announced as the first Prime Minister of the Holy Pyrannic Empire.
